Abstract. The paper has shown the depence of microalloying and heat treatment on structural strength of construction steel The dependence of austenitizing temperature and cooling velocity when hardening in different media on possibility of these steel to generating the packet martensite has been shown as well. It has been established that microalloying of the 17Mn1Si2 steel by borom promotes the increase of structural strength and cold resistance at low temperatures.
Keywords: construction, steel, microalloying, martensite, borom, cold resistance, austenite.
