ABSTRACT

In this paper, on the basis of well-known technical, constructive and organizational solutions, an analysis is carried out to improve the efficiency of the transmission of the rocking machine. The subject of this dissertation is the possibility of using a chain transmission in the transmission instead of the V-belt transmission of the rocking machine used for years, as well as the issue of non-stop operation of pumping units of the rocking machine during floods and flooding, when the water level rises to the electric motor and there is a forced stop of oil supply to production. The efficiency of chain gears under favorable conditions can reach 0.97 – 0.98. The purpose of developing a chain drive simulation program is to analyze dynamic phenomena in chain drive systems and study various design changes in systems in order to eliminate undesirable phenomena. In this case, an electric motor with a transmission, which includes a gearbox and a chain transmission, is mounted directly on the scales, and connecting rods that are connected at one end to cranks mounted on the driven shaft of the scales. the gearbox, and at the other end are pivotally fixed to the pump unit housing. Formulas are given that are used to determine the torque and forces that act on the mechanism, as well as approximate graphs are given. In this paper, a new formulation has been developed for modeling the dynamics of roller chain drives using the continuous contact force method. The model of the contact surface between the rollers and the asterisk showed that this is an important issue concerning the numerical stability of the simulation program, and the model with a real tooth profile proved its superiority over other models used. Thanks to the application of this method, it is shown that the interconnected dynamics of elements in the chain drive system is captured and the contact problem is characterized. The chain drive model is compared with simplified analytical results, while the necessary experimental verification is left for future research.
